Ace the ACT
Time: 10:30am - 4:30pm
Location: Combined Meeting Room
Review many varieties of ACT questions -- from simple to complex -- in this 5-hour intensive course presented by Dr. Srinath Sampath, from PrepAccelerator. Focused on problem solving, all four sections of the ACT (plus the optional writing section) will be covered.
Bring a notebook, clipboard, writing instruments and a calculator (ideally the one you will use on test day).
Who should attend?
These sessions are appropriate for high school seniors who would like to improve their scores before the ACT, juniors who are getting ready for the free, state-sponsored ACT sitting to be offered by all Ohio high schools, and motivated freshmen and sophomores who are interested in getting a head start on their ACT preparations.
About Srinath Sampath
Dr. Sampath is the founding partner of PrepAccelerator, a Columbus-based tutoring and education service that helps students prepare for standardized tests, including the ACT, SAT, PSAT, several AP Modules, and several SAT Subject Tests.
Dr. Sampath has a PhD in Statistics from The Ohio State University, where he has earned both teaching and research awards for his work. He has an extensive background in quantitative finance, computer science and data science, and has won national and international awards for his statistical research. Dr. Sampath is a CFA(r) Charterholder, and has spent over a decade as an investment portfolio manager, with a focus on both fixed income and equities. He currently serves as managing director, portfolio management, at a Columbus-based registered investment advisory firm.
A regular volunteer with the Columbus non-profit community, Dr. Sampath has served as president and trustee of Actors' Theatre of Columbus ("Shakespeare in Schiller Park") and as treasurer and board member of the Columbus International Program.
